What is the meaning of RoHS and are kolb products RoHS compliant?
All kolb products are RoHS compliant.

The RoHS (Restriction of the use of certain Hazardous Substances in electrical and electronic equipment) collectively refers to the European Union delegated directive (EU) 2015/863 (RoHS 3) amending Annex II to the directive 2011/65/EU (RoHS II) to prohibit certain substances in the production and processing of electrical and electronic equipment and components, as well as the respective transposition into national law.

kolb products are all RoHS compliant and contain no substances or derivatives listed in the directive.

The aim of the RoHS directive is to ban extremely problematic components from the products in the course of the massive expansion of disposable electronics. This includes, among other things, enforcing the lead-free soldering of electronic components, banning toxic flame retardants in the manufacturing of cables and strengthening the implementation of appropriate substitutes. Furthermore, the parts and components used must be free of relevant materials themselves.

This has a direct impact on participating companies such as importers, sole proprietorship (even small hardware companies) or shops and retail chains and thus, ultimately, on the consumer. The ingredients are mainly substances which are used in electronics materials (e.g. printed circuit boards, enclosures, resistors, etc.): e.g. plasticizers, flame retardants, etc.
