EnerSave – less power, same cleaning results

A square, blue icon with a downward-pointing arrow and a lightning bolt; below it, the text EnerSave

Energy efficiency at kolb isn’t an add-on, it is a design principle. With EnerSave technology, we deliberately integrate engineering into our systems that reduces energy demand without compromising cleaning and drying results. Two examples:

Drying with VMH technology (Venturi Mixed Hot Air)

To dry PCBAs, we use kolb’s patented VMH technology. A high volume flow of standard recirculated air is directed into a Venturi nozzle. The resulting pressure differential passively draws in a small amount of highly heated air. This air mixture ensures a uniform drying temperature in the process chamber, adjustable from approx. 45°C to 120°C (113°F to 248°F). Energy is needed only for one fan and for heating a small volume of air. The pressure differential and airflow design do the rest. The result is a robust, low-maintenance process with low operating costs.

Thermally insulated tank systems

The partition walls of our polypropylene (PP) tank systems are built as an insulated sandwich construction. This keeps process heat in the cleaning bath and requires less heating energy than uninsulated tanks.
