PAGE 7 ▪ Detergents for Automated Cleaning Processes • MultiEx® 3D series • Product Cleaning The MultiEx® 3D series offers water-based, homogeneous, low-temperature detergents with a broad range of cleaning power, a special cleaning technology and a long bath life. They are ideal for the thorough and resource-efficient cleaning of PCBAs and metallized substrates, as well as for the reliable cleaning of solder frames and carriers. MultiEx® 3D series MultiEx® 3D detergents reliably and efficiently remove flux residues from most solder pastes and fluxes available on the market, as well as metal oxides, working in three dimensions: Dimension 1 – Flux removal: Flux residues are removed, minimizing the risk of electrical malfunctions due to electrochemical migration. Dimension 2 – Deoxidation: Metal oxides are removed to ensure reliable bonding on metallic surfaces and to prevent any negative impact on electrical conductivity. Dimension 3 – Passivation: The deoxidized metal surfaces are passivated to protect them from re-oxidation. MultiEx® 3D detergents are supplied as a ready-to-use mixture (ReadyMix) for direct use in kolb cleaning systems with PowerSpray and AirFlow technology and all other common cleaning systems with comparable technology.
