For more information visit www.kolb-ct.com/systems/ extras/washing-frames. SpeedLoad Carts Stainless steel set-up carts for the transport of SlideIn Quick Load inserts within a production area. They allow faster and easier transport when the load unit baskets cannot be loaded in the immediate vicinity of the cleaning system. The trolley fits exactly to the size of the corresponding machine, so that the complete loading unit can be easily and smoothly pushed into the cleaning chamber. For more information visit www.kolb-ct.com/systems/extras/accessories. SlideIn Quick Load Inserts Speed loading slide in units with two, three or four drawer baskets. The drawer baskets can be loaded outside of the cleaning system, which facilitates handling. If two units are in use, one can be loaded while a filled one runs through a cleaning cycle in the machine. The loading and unloading then requires only minimal system downtime, since the loaded units can be completely slided in and out. For more information visit www.kolb-ct.com/systems/extras/accessories. Electronic Rotor Run Control To monitor correct rotor operation in closed kolb AQUBE® and PSE systems. The rotor run control option checks the functioning of the rotors electronically, to prevent from rotor damage e.g. because of loading mistakes or slipped products. Built-in sensors at each half turning of each rotor send a signal to the PLC. For more information visit www.kolb-ct.com/systems/extras/accessories. Rotor QuickConnect QuickConnect is a rotor speed clamping system. The horizontal center rotors of a kolb cleaning system can be installed or removed within a few seconds. If goods to be cleaned require more headroom than the normal rotor arrangement allows, the center rotors can be easily removed. The rotors for smaller goods to be cleaned can be installed again just as quickly, which guarantees the optimum flexibility of the cleaning chamber. For more information visit www.kolb-ct.com/systems/extras/accessories. Decalcification Unit Ensuring required tap water quality for the rinse circuit. In the case of systems connected to a tap water supply on site, where the water quality of which does not correspond to the required < 10 °dH or < 350 µS conductivity value, the water quality required for the rinsing process can be produced by the decalcification unit. By means of the ball valve above the cartridge, the blend between the city water and the treated (decalcified) water is adjusted. For more information visit www.kolb-ct.com/systems/extras/accessories.

For economic and ecological reasons, it is foreseeable that the cost of freshwater will significantly impact the value chain in any production process that requires large amounts of water. kolb water management systems help save on water and waste disposal costs: An internal rinse water treatment loop (ClosedLoop) is already standard in all kolb recirculation cleaning systems with two or more separate loops. In this system, the rinse water is reused multiple times before it needs to be replaced. Afterwards, it can be recycled for reuse in specialized (CrossLoop) WPCL systems or with WPSD modules, treated for indirect discharge into the local wastewater network. More information at www.kolb-ct.com/systems/water-management For both technologies, kolb offers cost-effective and compact modular systems that deliver optimal results. Recycling of rinse water to DI/DM quality. WPCL modules work with CrossLoop crossover recirculation technology and sixfold filtration manage the recycling of wastewater. They reduce the need for fresh water and for producing DI water by a multiple and lowerthe cost for disposal of contaminated used up water.

Traceability Basic/Traceability Comfort (Function Packages) Data tracking, saving and storing. kolb offers two traceability options for its cleaning systems both with wireless scanners. A basic version, compatible with all systems with touch panel (PSE and AQUBE® systems) and a comfort version, available for all AQUBE® systems. Our function packages and single options which are standard in many systems are available to expand certain systems to additional process capabilities or to increase their actual performance.

Single Optionen ▪ PAGE 26 Fine Filter Systems Tank A, Tank B (Single Options) Replaceable filter cartridges with different degrees of fineness filter out contaminants such as heavy metals that were washed off during the cleaning process or that were introduced into the rinsing medium by rinsed-off cleaner residues from the cleaning medium (option tank A) or from the rinsing medium (option tank B). As a result, the detergent or rinsing medium remain operational for much longer. Detergent Tank Heater (Single Option) Unit for precise detergent heating up to max. 80 °C. For the cleaning with detergents which develop their optimal cleaning effect only at higher temperatures. The cleaning temperature of the unit equipped with a contact protection will be preset to a defined value. The PLC control module for the heater enables the activation of the heating element, monitors the temperature and activates the built-in overtemperature protection. Remote Maintenance (Single Option) Online maintenance assistance. Remote helpline to kolb service engineers for fast software data analysis, maintenance assistance, instructions and monitoring. With the agreement of the operator – kolb service engineers can connect to the remote module via an existing network connection and, by reading out the data, provide the customer with specific support for settings/troubleshooting, etc. Automatic Additive Dosage (Single Option) Replenishment unit for detergent additives. Automatic unit for adding a detergent additive in order to keep the permanent mixing ratio in the cleaning tank more process-reliable and to shorten maintenance times. Automatic Water Exchange (Single Option) Exchange unit for the rinsing tank. The automatized water exchange of the rinse tank optimizes the process reliability of the water change and minimizes downtime due to maintenance of the cleaning system. The system pumps down the used rinse water within a short time and fills in fresh water from the on-site water connection. MediumWipe® (Single Option) Designed to prevent detergent carryover and additional consumption and to extend the service life and quality of the rinse water. The MediumWipe® process blows pipes, rotors/nozzles and items to be cleaned free from remaining liquid by the compressed air unit installed on the rear of the cleaning system. The blown off liquid is recirculated into the corresponding tank.
